Field trips are planned for most sessions. Many times the out-of-camp experiences tie in with a theme. Trips give campers an additional opportunity to have fun with friends made at Mountain Mist and to take part in activities not readily available at camp.

The trips, which have become a tradition at camp, are extremely popular with the campers. Permission slips are sent home which explain the specific details of the trip and any costs incurred to the parent. Campers not participating have the opportunity to be part of special activities planned for a regular camp day.
